Space Stations are large, semi-mobile outposts. While all Space Stations must have some sort of engine to pass inspection, they are extremely slow and are not expected to move around once in place. It is often easier to build one on the spot and give it the smallest engine possible.

Space Stations are most often used as a trade outpost because of their large cargo capacity. They have no offensive weaponry, but usually sport scores of batteries and the capacity to hold thousands of small vessels for defense.
