The bomber is a small vessel designed for engaging capital ships and ground defenses. Bombers have poor range and less speed compare to fighters, they require carriers to ferry them to any distant battles.

Bombers are armed with cannons, which allows them to damage still shielded and armored hulls. They are most effective against enemy capital ships and ground defenses.

Bombers have a decent amount of layout capacity, however after arming themselves with large cannons and drives they have little room left for protection. Sometimes people choose a smaller cannon print in order to leave layout capacity for armor. Without armor, bombers are easy targets for enemy batteries, with armor, they can often take an extra hit. Bombers should be used with fighter cover in order to keep enemy fighters at bay.
