Carriers can transport small vessels. While other capital ships also have carrier capacity, only the carrier class can transport sufficient numbers for strategic purposes. The primary role of the carrier is to deliver fighter and bomber support during combat, but it has a respectable number of batteries of its own. The capacity of a carrier is limited by numbers and mass of the loaded vessels.


You can load vessels directly on the fleet management page at a colony, but also in space with the respective carrier interface of your fleet.
