The Anti-Aircraft Battery, or AA for short, is one of the two ground defense buildings; The other being the Missile Launcher.

The Anti-Aircraft Battery's main purpose is to shoot down small vessels, mainly Fighters, Bombers, and Crimson Gunboats attacking a colony.

The AA battery has a primary weapon functioning like a single barrel cluster. This weapon fires with high accuracy and usually carries enough firepower to destroy most small vessels in a single hit.

AA Batteries also come with support batteries, which function like a a ship's batteries. The support batteries return fire against any attacking vessel.

AA Batteries have much weaker shields and structural integrity, and less batteries than Guided Missile Launchers, but the much higher fire rate of their main guns allows for more efficient targeting of small vessels.
